Bees and a Hummingbird…a Natural Eco-System

April 27, 2017

On my walk the other morning, I stopped at these gorgeous purple plants and saw bees swarming through them, plus one beautiful hummingbird. I thought, what a beautiful and natural eco-system. Both species are enjoying nature’s delight, and using them for different purposes.

And, everyone is getting along harmoniously.

Then, my thoughts went to Time…how can I harmoniously enjoy nature’s bounty of time, even though I have several different projects (species) of work to do?

Well, most recently, I offered a complimentary teleseminar on my new Daily Schedule, simply called 2-4-3. Let me be clear…simplicity for a writer doesn’t happen easily. Read More

Who Needs a Brand? Everyone, including Cities

April 17, 2017

I love everything about Branding. People have often asked me why I am such a “Branding Geek” and all I can say is that every business, product and even city has a Brand. It may not be the one that represents who you are, tells your story well, or attracts the people/buyers/readers/followers that you desire. But, you have a Brand, whether you know it or not.

For those that aren’t clear on their Brand, it goes into what I refer as the “Brand Pit.” It goes into a deep well with other brands, never really telling their story clearly, focused on who they are or sharing why they are different than others doing what they do.

Looking even further, I find psychology, why people do what they do…intrigues me to no end. It is no wonder that I have two advanced degrees in Psychology…one is clinical psychology and the other is spiritual psychology. Read More

If your phone could talk, what would it say?

April 6, 2017

I used to think that Mercury in Retrograde was something my daughter believed that gave her “permission” as an “excuse” for communication mishaps. It’s not that I didn’t believe her, it was just that I am so results-oriented that I believe we create our own world. What I forgot to realize is that Universal Energy does play a part in our co-creation.

I now am a firm believer!!!…as of yesterday.

Yesterday morning I had a great check-in call with my awesome assistant, Melissa, and was planning to take a walk. I was in the elevator and one of the visitors didn’t realize that the elevator security code was on. As I was helping her decode the code, my phone dropped.

Next thing I knew, I had dropped my phone down a very slim space in the elevator that went down to the first floor…I was on the 10th!! Read More

Words matter!

March 14, 2017

I only needed about two solid hours to complete my book chapter summaries, so I went to “my” Starbucks to do two hours of focused work.

There were no private tables available, so I went to a long table that had an electrical outlet for my computer cord, but nowhere to rest my legs on the tall stool. I can live with that for two hours.

But, what I found I can’t live with is the guy next to me with cool ear phones talking to “whomever.” I have no idea who, or even if, he was talking to someone.

I got up to order some green tea, (after staring at and considering the bagel holes with cream cheese), and saw that my coffee shop “neighbor” was playing a game on his computer and is evidently talking to himself…or the screen…and almost every other word he utters starts with the letter “f.” Read More

No wireless at Starbucks, are you kidding?

Have you ever chosen to “sequester” yourself so you could only focus on one project? That is exactly what I did this last weekend and for the most part, it worked. I say “for the most part” because I didn’t get as much completed as I wanted, but it did “friendly force” me to stay with my project: writing.

I find that “sequestering” myself needs to happen in another city, because it’s too easy to do low priority tasks, like wash the dishes, make the bed and have everything in my home really neat and organized. Really? That only becomes important to me when I’m working on a high priority project…and writing is definitely my high priority for March.
